A Hyur Highlander of common birth. Ascending from the ashes of his homeland due to the Empire's invasion as a young boy, he joined the resistance to reclaim the honor and homeland of his people. He now wanders Eorzea as a Free Knight lending his skills to those with coin, owing allegiance to none.

Hair: Varies from shoulder length to cropped short on the sides with a little length on top to everything in between. Ash black hair peppered with gray streaks.

General Fashion Tastes: When not geared up with armors for a job or general adventuring he prefers wearing casual, loose fitting commoner's clothing. Due to his affinity for Ishgardian aesthetics, his armors tend to have a somewhat knightly appearance.
Notable Accessories: Will often wear an earring on his left ear that matches color with specific armor, or a set of silver loop earrings. He'll occasionally wear an eye patch to cover his damaged eye.A fit yet average height Highlander of fairer tone skin due to traveling and spending time among various climates. He possesses a piercing gaze, made intimidating by his scarred right eye. His ashen black hair is usually unkempt and relaxed, varying between shoulder length to cropped or tied back in a bun. He can typically be found in half-plate or chain mail armors which are better fit for travel and moderate protection. He carries himself with a confident and serious determination, yet the most astute can see a lingering weight of self-doubt and pain follows him wherever he goes.

A traumatic past has left him with scars that cannot be seen as he sometimes slips into a dismissive and evasive demeanor, often quick to change the subject. His brash and reckless attitude can sometimes land him in trouble, but he's nothing if not determined. And yet when it comes to the people he trusts and the few he considers family, you would be hard pressed to find someone more trusting, honest and protective.

The following are places you are most likely to find this character:

  • Ul'dah: After the fall of Ala Mhigo and a brief respite spent in Gridania, this is where Ilias spent a majority of his early life and thus frequents this city-state often.

  • Gyr Abania: Following the liberation of his birthplace, he'll often be found wandering through its mountainous terrain looking for a familiar connection with his homeland.

  • City-States: His travels take him all across Eorzea, and as such he'll wander the streets of each big city from time to time to pick up new contracts.

  • Out in the wilds: As an adventurer at heart, Ilias loves the open road and traveling the world offering his skills to those he encounters. It isn't uncommon to see him wandering among well-traveled roads or parts unknown.

RP Hooks

The following are possible roleplay hooks we can plot off of for our characters to meet/interact with each other. These are just a few examples. I am always open to other suggestions should you think of any!

  • Got a contract for me?: What better way to entice a sellsword than with coin to line his pockets? He's always accepting contracts or the occasional odd job.

  • What's your story?: While he initially isn't for much for sitting around and chatting, after a few drinks he enjoys a little social interaction and a few stories, especially if they involve a fellow Ala Mhigan or tales of Ishgardian life.

  • Hatred of the Empire: Being that his homeland was razed and occupied by the Garlean Empire, he runs a deep hatred for the people that took it away. He is heavily sympathetic to those who have been wronged or mistreated by Garlean rule.

  • Take a tour?: Ilias is always appreciative of a local showing him a guided tour through the town. From the best places to stay or where to look for information regarding a job for a sellsword, even if he's already heard of it -- everyone has a different perspective.

OOC/RP Guidelines

  • 18+ RPers only. Even if we're not looking at mature/adult themes I prefer that my partners are not underage.

  • No metagaming. This profile largely exists to give you information for OOC purposes, not to be used IC unless otherwise specified or your character is privy to such knowledge.

  • My RP style varies, but I usually go for 1-2 paragraph posts. I will typically try to match my partner's style so mileage may vary. I tend to start big so if you prefer more simple exchanges right off the bat, just let me know!

  • I'm comfortable with dark themes (violence, sex, drugs, etc) and am willing to RP them if it makes sense in the context of our characters' interactions. Otherwise, please let me know OOC on what you are planning.

  • I try to stay fairly lore-friendly but if you tend to veer away from it that's fine. Just know that if it becomes too incredibly lore-breaking I may decline to take part in it.

  • OOC and IC are not the same and should not be treated as such. Anything my character says or does will not always reflect me as the player. I ask that everyone I RP with keep this in mind and knows how to keep them seperate. We're just here to have fun, right!?

  • I enjoy all kinds of RP. Combat, adventure, exploration, bar hopping, chatting, friendly, romantic, etc. Though my characters may prefer some of those over others, I'm always open to anything so don't be afraid to ask!

  • While I like romantic RP, I am not looking to live vicariously through my characters. I'm not interested in dating no matter what our characters themselves may be getting up to.

  • I love PvE content and am always happy to have RP friends who would also like to run dungeons and beyond with me from time to time. So if you're interested in having a RP buddy who also likes to run content, hit me up!
